Life Lessons

Life Lessons from the Desk of Katie Taylor:

1. You need passion in your life to make it worthwhile.
2. You need said passion in order to keep you motivated.
3. You need said motivation in order to accomplish goals or chores.

If you don't have passion then you aren't motivated to accomplish anything. I feel like I'm stuck in this rut. What am I passionate for? The answer is that I don't know, which means I'm not motivated to do anything. Therefore, my house, while looking clean and orderly on the surface, is dirty. So, I have determined that I need a maid and a personal chef or enough money to eat out regularly. Lol!

I do know this: I enjoy spending time with Kenny, friends (what friends I have left), family, and decorating. Here's the dilemma, though: Kenny & I are at school/work all day and rarely have time to spend with one another, the few/couple friends I have left live away as does my family, and I don't have money to enjoy my decorating hobby.

So, I go to work/school, get home, eat, relax by watching a couple of t.v. shows, and go to bed. This is my life... can you say boring?

I need to find something I'm passionate about so that I am motivated. And, stat. Period. End of story.

In other news: I tentatively booked my flight to Santa Rosa Beach, FL for my neice's wedding. I'm very excited to get a weekend away to the beach with my aunt and uncle & hopefully my Mom, too. The wedding is on a Saturday night and if all goes according to plan, then I'll arrive on Friday with beach time and have the whole day Saturday to do the same. At least I have that to pull me through these next two weeks.

So, with that said, if you don't have passion then at least set benchmarks of things/goals/events (whatever) to look forward in order to keep you excited about something!

  1. I feel your rut pain! I hope you find happiness soon Katie. I wish you lived closer so we could do lunch or coffee sometime, but for now I'll stalk you via blogger and facebook. <3 Oh and thank you for updating!
